Near to the YNDO HOTEL, Former police Castéja offers a new youth by hosting artistic work of 30 graffiti artists from the region and elsewhere to an ephemeral group exhibition.
This year, transfer artists have the opportunity to invest the 3,500 m2 of the ground floor of the mythical building of the former police Castéja before they are rehabilitated in 2018 for housing and kindergarten.
The building, World Heritage of UNESCO, welcomed the National Institution for Deaf-Dumb since its construction in 1862, before being converted into a hospital and police headquarters in Bordeaux.
Visits-workshops are led by artists themselves and consist of a choice of 6 themes.
- For structures (schools, centers, ehpad, etc.): Wednesday to Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- For individuals: a predefined Saturday from 14h to 18h
Guided tours are open to individual structures and adapted for all ages, in several languages (French, English, Spanish) and also in sign language, referring to the history of the building that originally housed the National Institution Deaf-dumb.
Until Saturday, September 26, 2015
Wednesday to Saturday from 13h to 19h
